The Birth of Car Shui
The idea for the Car Shui Kit was realized shortly after September 11, 2001. With the advent of such a traumatic experience for the Nation and the World, I realized it was time for me to leave my home and start a cross country journey to better understand the emotions of our nation after experiencing such a horrendous event.
I began calling my clients around the country to set up what I call “The Road Trip”. This road trip was supposed to last 3 months but actually lasted 1 year. As I started to Feng Shui peoples’ homes and offices, to create a greater sense of security, something else began to transpire.
While driving around the country, the highways appeared more crowded than normal, because many people were fearful of flying. I asked myself, “What if I could apply the principles of Feng Shui to the automobile?” Initially, my intent was to keep drivers and passengers more calm and relaxed, so they could have a safe driving experience. After many miles of observation, I realized people use their cars for many purposes, other than simple transportation.
The automobile is an environment where people, conduct business, talk to friends and family, interact with their children, go on dates with loved ones and perform many other day to day activities. These are the same types of environments and situations I try to improve when I Feng Shui a client’s home. WOW, I thought. “If I could transfer my knowledge of Feng Shui to the automobile, I could do more than just keep people calm while they are in their car. I can also help improve other aspects of their lives.” In the past, I normally assumed these activities occurred mainly outside the car. Maybe now, I could extend the powers of Feng Shui to a whole new environment.
I tried to wrap my head around this idea and then I realized our cars are moving forward most of the time. This forward motion would allow me to direct the Feng Shui Chi , through the front windshield of the car, to the various Feng Shui Bagua compass points. The Bagua, which has eight compass points, represents the various aspects of our lives such as Wealth, Health, Career, Love, Creativity, Travel, Wisdom, Family, Prosperity and Reputation.
